ninarogowsky@healthy-waltham.org

Nina Rogowsky has always sought roles as an educator, from teaching scuba diving in the British Virgin Islands to teaching four- and five-year-olds how to collect chicken eggs at the Natick Community Organic Farm.  She became involved with Healthy Waltham through a community service club at Brandeis University by volunteering to help plant gardens with residents at Prospect Hill Terrace.  Initially hired as an intern, Nina was able to expand her role as the Garden Facilitator through a grant from the American Heart Association supporting school gardens as a means to increase students’ fruit and vegetable consumption and promote physical activity.  She now works in Waltham’s five – soon to be six – gardens at the public schools and the Boys and Girls Club.  Nina graduated from Brandeis University in 2008 with Bachelor’s degrees in English and Fine Arts.
